ARMENIA, Cilician Armenia – Levon III, 1301-1307, rare Half Tram (Silver). minted in Sis.

Obverse: Levon III depicted on horseback, riding right with his head facing forward, holding a cruciform scepter and reins, inscribed in Armenian, 'Levon, King of the Armenians.'
Reverse: A lion advancing right, raising its left paw with a patriarchal cross behind, inscribed in Armenian, 'Struck in the city.' 

Catalogued as AC 428. Exceptionally rare and lightly toned, with minor scratches but still a good fine example. A true treasure from Cilician Armenia's royal past.
